Kintamani Village
|
|
A village located approximately 1100 above sea level where you can see
the view of
Mount Batur, an active volcano with a lake lying at the bottom.

Ubud Monkey Forest
|
|
Home of more than 200
monkeys believed to be sacred by the locals; you can walk
through the path into the forest. You can hand feed the monkey and take
pictures of their funny behaviour.

Tanah Lot Temple By the sea.

It is a place to visit when twilight approaching. You can wait for the
sun set beyond the sea while the temple built on a solid rock is at the
foreground.

Uluwatu Temple
|

Uluwatu temple is an ancient temple built on a cliff where you can also
see the spectacular sunset. It is located in the southern tip of the island,
close to another monkey forest.

Penglipuran Village
|

It is a traditional village which retains their tradition and culture.
You can also go into the bambo forest situated next to the village.

Barong Dance
|
|
A chance for you to witness the Balinese dancing which usually performed
in the temple during the festival. You can watch it at the Batu Bulan,
Gianyar, performed every day starting at 9.30. Barong dance is meant to
drive away or neutralise bad energy so it will not interfere the festivals.

Many of the Bali forests cannot be accessed by car, so you can prepare

Ayung River and Telaga Waja is two rivers where you can paddle your way
to enjoy more Bali. An exciting way of exploring the forests, rivers, and

Tulamben, Menjangan Island, and Nusa Penida.

The island of Bali is located in the tropics, just about 6º South of the
equator. Blessed with warm temperatures, where the variation is very small
throughout the year, with sunrises at 6 am in the morning and sunsets at 6 pm.

Bali Mynahs are a rare and beautiful bird found only on the Bali Island in
Indonesia. There are as few as 60 wild Bali Mynahs that inhabit the Bali Barat
National Park in its northwestern corner. There they live amongst the open
woodland and openly gather in the morning hours.

Bali is located 8 degrees to the south of the equator, and hence it has a
tropical climate. Bali does not have the usual four seasons, but just has just
two - the wet and dry seasons. Each season lasts for about six months. Dry
season is from March to August and wet season is from September to February.
Though the weather does not vary that much by season, the wet season may have
some downpours for an hour or so in afternoons, followed by warm sea breeze at
the beaches of Kuta and Nusa Dua.
