An undulating rural area between
Kuta and Tanah Lot with housing, villas and boutique hotels. The
beach has some great surf breaks but is dangerous for swimming. |

A haven for surfers,
particularly Japanese, is Pantai Berawa. Drive through the village
of Canggu, and head west, and you will come to Pantai Berawa. There
are several hotels located close by, and some have beachfront
restaurants. There are sellers around the beach selling fruit and
drinks. |

Style sports club has opened between Canggu and Pantai Berawa, with
many facilities including a swimming pool and restaurants and bars. |

| A bit further to the
north is Pererenan beach, a new hang out of the local expats.
Several beachfront cafes have opened and regularly have a "Sunday
Session" with live music. A great place to have a surf and chill out
watching the fabulous sunsets from one of these cafes. |

Canggu is around 20 minutes from Legian/Seminyak and it really helps
to have your own transport. |
