The airport for Bali - Ngurah Rai International Airport (Code - DPS) is Bali's only airport and the second-busiest of all airports in Indonesia, serving not only domestic destinations but major cities throughout Asia and Australia as well.

It's a fairly reasonably modern, equipped with most facilities a traveller would need but it's not exactly an exciting place to be.

There are separate terminals for domestic and international, but they are connected by a covered walkway, a distance of about 5 minutes walking time.

At both the International and domestic terminals there are ATM machines, and at the International terminal, several money changers. Be careful of the rate as it can be a fair bit lower than out in the street.

Many of the Indonesian domestic airlines have offices at the Domestic Terminal in the departures, and a few International airlines have offices in the International Departures terminal. Additionally some airlines have offices in a building across the car park.

While waiting for flights, there plenty of Indonesian food stalls, coffee stalls, as well as Excelso Coffee and McDonalds at the International Departures terminal, and KFC, McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts at the Domestic terminal.

Even though it is called Denpasar Airport, it is actually to the south of Kuta some 20 km from Denpasar. Most tourists will stay in the Kuta area so a trip from the airport can be a 10 minute ride away.

The easiest way to get from the airport to your destination anywhere on Bali if you dont have a hotel shuttle service is to use the fixed price Airport Taxi Service. There are counters at bothe the Domestic and International arrival halls. You buy a ticket for your destination.
